IAC is proud to present a FLUXconcert at this year’s Salt Lake City Performance Art Festival, hosted at the Salt Lake City Public Library.

FluxConcerts, which were originally developed by Fluxus artists during a European performance tour in 1962, are characterized by the realization of Fluxus event scores. These scores are text-based compositions that instruct the performers to interpret and complete actions such as La Monte Young's Composition #10, "Draw a straight line and follow it." Interdisciplinary Arts Collective's FLUXconcert at this festival will draw on work from composers like George Brecht, Yoko Ono, Alison Knowles, and others to feature multiple Flux scores that unfold, intersect, and overlap over the course of the performance, ranging from the absurd to the absurdly serious.

The festival runs April 14-15, 2023 at the Salt Lake City Public Library (downtown branch). IAC will be performing in the Urban Room on Friday, April 14 from 1:15-2:15pm. The festival is free and open to the public, feel free to contact us with any questions.
